Queensland parents have welcomed the return of the school tuck shop, with more than 8,000 orders placed on Flexischools for today.
For many busy parents the tuck shop offers the opportunity to have a nutritious meal prepared for their child, after long summer holiday spent juggling day-to-day family life alongside work and family commitments, activities, vacation camps and family outings.
“For parents and carers across Australia, the school tuck shop offers a valuable service,” said Rachel Debeck, CEO of Flexischools.
“Being able to order a meal for their child at school, ahead of time via Flexischools, can really help to ease the mental load for busy parents. Especially at the start of the year, when many of us are getting back into the routine of school mornings!”
“We love being able to help parents get organised and ahead of the school rush, by ordering ahead of time.
“In fact, in Queensland, more than 2000 organised parents had already placed lunch orders for the first day back, more than a week before school returned! That’s some impressive levels of organisation,” Rachel commented.
First orders for 2024
The first Flexischools lunch order for 2024 was placed on the second of January!
The most popular orders for the first day of 2024 were for canteen classics, like burgers, nuggets and hot dogs.
